From research to practice
Our story begins in the laboratories of Osnabrück University. In 2021, biologist Jens Varnskühler and Prof. Dr. Klaus Mummenhoff founded the spin-off seedalive. What originally started as a research project developed into a groundbreaking innovation for the seed industry.
The two founders transformed their university discovery into a market-ready product that reduces traditional germination testing, which can take days or weeks, to just three to four hours.
Today, seedalive has grown from a small university spin-off into an innovative AgTech company that is attracting attention not only in Germany but also internationally.
